My name is LEO!

Leo is a 1-year-old brown pit bull mix with a heart full of love and energy. This sweet boy is all puppy—he’s constantly on the move and sometimes gets a little mouthy, but it’s all in the name of play! Leo is super friendly with people of all ages, including kids, and was relaxed and polite around other dogs during a recent event.

Leo’s volunteer handler described him as easy to leash up and full of excitement. With a wiggly, bouncy body, he pranced his way to the event, eager to greet everyone and every dog he saw. His puppy energy is magnetic; Leo’s playful spirit and famous “sploot” (where he flops on his belly with his legs stretched out behind him) attracted attention and pets from everyone. He even settled down occasionally, showing his sweet side with belly rubs and rolling over for attention.

Leo walks well on a leash, especially once he’s had a chance to burn off some of his puppy energy. He was easy to walk back to the shelter and settled comfortably in his kennel afterward.
