Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A sweet, quiet girl- who thrives with another dog by her side, and a favorite human. Darling Teagan enjoys spending her days sun basking, relaxing, and looking at people, with the most inquisitive, passionate eyes, you could ever imagine. Though, she's typically shy at first, she's able to warm up nicely with another dog showing her that visitors are safe, and a handful of treats. She holds the most expression in her eyes, big curly tail, ears, and even comical at some points with the goofy faces she tends to make. At about 11 months old, and just about 40 pounds, we don't think she will be getting much bigger. Teagan isn't restricted to a specific type of home, in fact, we KNOW she will do well in just about any home! She just needs time, and patience to become used to her new surroundings, people, smells, and sights. It sounds like a load of work, we know, but we promise it's not! Teagan has opened up to us, like no other dog has even been able to when they're shy like her, in fact, she tends to be a velcro-dog nowadays, always stuck to one of our sides, but also perfectly content when we crate her. We know Teagan's family is out there, and very willing to love her in all the ways she enjoys, and more; if a well-behaved, quiet, low-medium energy, adorable, loving, cuddly pooch is what you're looking for, Teagan's will make the PERFECT fit. She's even tested amazingly with cats, kittens, kids, dogs, puppies, you name it!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
