Buffy is a 4 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who can’t wait to slay vampires with her new family! Buffy was rescued from the shelter when her former home realized they weren’t as ready for a puppy as they thought. We agreed to find this gal a new network to run on and away we went! Buffy has an adorable black and white coat that makes her look like a baby cow. She’s so perfect, we know! We think she will be in the 12-16 pound range when she is fully grown, though this is just an estimate. If you’re ready for magic, adopt Buffy!

Buffy entered the “World’s Happiest Puppy” contest and she won first prize! This gal’s tail never stops wagging and she has a permanent grin on her adorable little face. She is playful and adores her foster sister who she chases around the house for hours at a time. Buffy is such a happy and optimistic dog that she wins over even the most dog-skeptical people and the most puppy-skeptical older dogs. She loves giving little kisses and does an adorable quasi-hug routine where she places her paws on you as you pet her soft fur. Buffy is hilarious as well and knows how to bring the laughs whenever she enters a room, often dragging along a toy several times larger than her. She taught herself how to tackle the stairs like every other challenge, by throwing herself into the new adventure. What a riot she is! Buffy would love a home where she can join in on all the action, as her favorite place is wherever her people are. She loves curling up in an open lap or trotting along behind you as you go about your day. She’s happy to entertain herself when she needs to but it’s hard to resist her puppy dog eyes. Buffy is the best kind of puppy: playful when she’s up and zonked out when she’s ready for a nap. Our favorite thing about Buffy? Her adorable little hop run she does when she zooms after a toy or bounces into your lap to give you all the love. Oh we couldn’t love this girl more!

Buffy starts her morning at around 7 AM (but she’s happy to sleep in a bit longer). She trots to the yard with her foster sister to sniff around and go potty. Buffy gets carried about the neighborhood as her foster sister walks around before everyone comes home for breakfast at 8 AM. After she finishes eating, she spends some time playing with her sister before she crashes in the soft bed she’s claimed in the living room. She goes out every few hours to practice her potty skills but loves to hang near her people otherwise. She repeats the play-sleep cycle for the majority of the afternoon, following her foster sister around faithfully. She heads into the yard in the early evening for some more playtime as the weather begins to cool off. She gets fed her dinner at 6 PM and then spends her evening playing. She goes out for one last potty break at 11 PM and then goes into her crate for the night.

Buffy adores her canine foster sibling and would love a playful new sibling in her forever home. She loves people of all ages and is always eager to make a new best friend! She’s been doing some starter leash practice in the yard as well as some puppy skills. Her forever home should be prepared to continue her training and socialization so she becomes a well-rounded adult pup. Her dream home is a home where she gets all the affection and love we know she deserves. If you’re ready for the best puppy ever, adopt Buffy today!

Buffy is an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last five years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
