My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beluga, the 7 month old American Bulldog Mix, cannot wait to meet you! Beluga is not only absolutely adorable, but is people and dog loving! At this time, we do not recommend Beluga with cats.

Beluga was a transfer from Craven Pamlico Animal Services, and has been a welcome addition to HSEC's program! Beluga is not only an adorable, wiggly, handsome guy, he is also a quick learner. We believe that with routine, Beluga could be easily house trained. Beluga does well walking on the leash, and is slowly getting the hang of crate training.

We are still learning about the nuances of Beluga's personality, and we can't wait to see what more he has to show us. Stay tuned to learn more about Belugla as we get to know him!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website hsecarolina.org where you will find our adoption application. Please fill it out and submit, and once your application is reviewed, someone will reach out to you to set up an appointment.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
