My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Walter. I was born on 9/26/23, I’m a real Ladies man looking for my perfect match. I am a lovable & active Pittie Mix who loves soft squeaky toys (but need to be supervised with them), wrestling, running, swimming (with a lifejacket). I love the children in my life who are so much fun to be around and give me the best belly rubs. As a young dog, I’m still working on my manners, but so far I am potty trained, I use the doggy door, I can sit, stay, I walk well on a leash & I’m kennel trained. I do really great on car rides and at the end of the day, I love to cuddle. I have been around cats, and I'm not good with them. I like to be the center of attention and get all the pets, treats and toys so I would be good as an only dog in your home. If I sound like your perfect match, please reach out so we can meet. I am currently being fostered at Heidi's Village and I am a crowd favorite there! They take me out for play time on the splash pad and that is my absolute favorite! Please complete an application for me at the link below so I can find my forever home! https://airtable.com/appTqwf0t6pSnvKMr/shrKSZQfTrJxSyCfT

Additional adoption info

Every dog and puppy that comes through The Barking Lot Dog Rescue will be "vetted" before they leave to their forever home. Being "vetted" not only means a veterinarian has seen them to ensure they're healthy; it also means they have been spayed/neutered, received at least one injection of DAPP (puppies under 6 months require 3 dosages - remaining vaccines will be scheduled at time of adoption if not already given), bordetella and rabies vaccine (required by law) and microchip. They have also been socialized in a home setting with people and other animals (varies per dog, please see their kennel card for more information).

More about this rescue

Our Mission
Giving unwanted dogs a chance at a forever life by filling hearts through rescue, adoption & community education.

We are a newly formed 501(c)(3) dog rescue in Maricopa County, Arizona. We are a group of very determined women with over 60 years of combined experience in the animal rescue community. We came together to start our dog rescue, The Barking Lot Dog Rescue, with the intention of giving unwanted or abandoned dogs and puppies a chance at a forever life by giving hope and filling hearts through rescue, adoption, and community education.
Currently, we are a foster based rescue. We depend entirely on volunteer foster homes that graciously and lovingly provide a temporary resting point until permanent homes are found for each canine.
