My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Mr. Wuffles! He is a social, cuddly, curious boy. He mostly likes to play on the couch and cuddle with his people. Wuf has a medium energy level; he's interested in being played with but not all the time. He enjoys a healthy balance of playing and snuggling. A feather toy or ball can tempt him into floor playtime but all he really wants is to sit on his human's chest and snuggle forever!

He's a great host, always greeting house guests with kisses and lap sits. This curious boy will always want to follow you around and know what you're up to. He just wants to be where his family is. He'll explore every room, closet, and countertop to make sure no smell goes un-smelled! Mr. Wuffles is always great at using his scratching post and keeping the couches safe.

He is a very loving boy and would be the perfect kitty companion. He would thrive best in a home without other pets and with older children or adults. But all he really needs is a family that's ready to give him the love that he's ready to give you!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
