Pepe is a sweet and affectionate mama cat looking for her forever home! This friendly feline has a heart of gold and loves nothing more than snuggling up for cozy naps on high up shelves or with her humans. Pepe is gentle and calm, but does enjoy occasionally chasing after a wand toy.
When not surveying her home from above or playing, Pepe's favorite activity is snuggling up with a human and receiving pets. Sometimes, she becomes so entranced by petting she may roll right off the surface she's resting on just to get more. If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your life, Pepe is eager to bring joy and warmth to her new forever home.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
