My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Carmelita + Violet
We adopted these girls to a loving family in January. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, These girls were brought back to us, no fault of their own, and are on the search for a home again! They originally came into our care after being found in a box. As they came to us as strays, we do not have any history or know how old they are. A guinea pigs life span is 5-8 years. They are a long term commitment, require daily cleaning and fresh veggies!

These girls will catch our eye with the beautiful coloring they have! They love their veggies and if you are not quick enough to give them some, you will hear their complaints! They are very bonded together and hardly leave each others side. They are very social and are not scared to come up to the front of their cage to say hello! They are very kind and sweet girls.

More about this shelter

Want to adopt a pet and give them a forever home? We're thrilled! Our pro-adoption shelter places 200 to 300 dogs and small animals every year with families and homes that best meet the needs of the animals.

We have dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs. While puppies are popular, older dogs can be great pets, too. They are smart and grateful companions that won't leave you with puppy puddles or chewed-up slippers. Why not enrich your life and that of an older dog?

We also adopt out small animals including rabbits, hamsters, birds, rats, guinea pigs, and sometimes reptiles.
