Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet All Star!
We call her "Dancer" because she jumps around like a baby deer. It's adorable. But we have yet to capture it on video. Once we do we will post a video.
When she first arrived to us she was shy and unsure of everyone. She looked to our dogs for guidance.
She was adopted but the resident dog was too dominate.
She is back with her foster family and is a funny, goofy gal. She now walks up to everyone for pets, she enjoys running around the backyard and dancing her heart out.
She does well with all sized dogs but in observing her behavior we think she is more alpha. She would pair well with a submissive dog pal.
She rides well in a car, walks well on a leash. She likes to sniff around and get her fill of free smells. She loves her person and will want to be near you.
She is kennel trained and sleeps in a crate
She is shaved down now due to the extreme matting she had when she arrived
She has a short tail which makes us think she may be a poodle
She was surrendered with two golden doodles. So she may be that mix too. We don't really know
Basics: She is a spayed female guessed to be around 3yrs old and is petite weighing close to 35lbs.
Adoption Process:
- Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application
- One of our team members will get back to you via phone.
- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
