If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
Little Sunflower started out as the smallest kitten in the group but over time she has managed to catch right up! Sunflower and her family came to ARPO after spending the first month of their live in a kennel at the shelter. Unfortunately, they tested positive for panleukopenia and fought extra hard to survive. With a lot of supporting care and love, they all made it! Sunflower is especially bonded with her mom. They have such a sweet relationship and will often call out for one another when they are separated. If she is not adopted with her mom, Sunflower is looking for a home with another younger kitty she can be friends with. Sunflower also takes after her mom with her unique shaped face and large, expressive eyes. She gets along well with other cats. She does really love to snuggle and can't resist a comfy blanket. Sunflower has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her kitten vaccines. Sunflower was born with especially dark eyes and based on several tests performed at the vet's office, we suspect she can only see shadows. She is great with finding her way around different spaces, climbing, and playing but can get a little nervous when being picked up. Her estimated birthday is 6-19-24.
