Meet Sweet Potato: The Gentle, Cuddly, and Incredibly Smart Explorer!
Sweet Potato is a 3-year-old coonhound with a heart as big as her personality. This sweet girl is a quick learner who mastered ringing a bell to go outside in just two days! She's ready for any adventure-whether it's a car ride (especially if it comes with a pup cup!) or exploring the world through her favorite tool: her nose. Sweet P can sniff out every detail of a place and could probably write books about the fascinating stories told through smells.
Despite her love for exploration, Sweet Potato is a low-maintenance, chill companion. She's happy to play with her foster sister all day or nap right next to you on the couch while binge-watching Netflix. She's incredibly affectionate and thrives on being the center of attention, although she's great with other dogs too.
Sweet Potato is potty trained and is currently working on her crate training. She loves to sunbathe, chase squirrels and birds, and she'll be by your side for cuddles whenever you need them.
Her striking white coat with fawn accents, a large black spot on her side, and little black freckles beneath her fur make her as beautiful as she is smart. Sweet Potato is a calm, gentle soul who will fit perfectly into any home ready for love, snuggles, and a lifetime of companionship.

We will call you and your references from your application.

Home Check
We will check our your home and you will meet the pet. The pet will also meet other family members (human and animal) at this time.

Sign Adoption Contract
If everything is “a go”, you will then fill out contract, pay adoption fee and welcome your new family member home!

We are only able to adopt to families who reside in Indiana at this time. We have approved volunteers in this state only, who are able to support our adoption process and travel within 100 miles of Indianapolis.
A completed application is required to initiate the adoption process. Remember to complete the entire application; leaving blanks will only delay the process. If you rent, please include landlords name and phone number. Also, please include your vets phone number, not just their name. The application is free to submit!
