Meet Barkley! Barkley is an 8 year old Maltese mix who was pulled from a crowded city shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia unless a home or rescue stepped up to save him. We were happy to step in and give this tiny little cutie the forever he deserves!
Sadly, situations like this happen almost daily due to the severe pet overpopulation problem, as well as the sad reality that people are turning a blind eye to it and are continuing to breed and purchase dogs while thousands of dogs in shelters are dying every single day. If you don't understand, please take a trip to any high kill city shelter and see just how many AMAZING dogs are dying every single day, due to no other reason than lack of homes. If you don't find what you are looking for at a high kill shelter and you adopt from a smaller rescue such as ours, you are still helping save these kinds of dogs by opening up a space at our rescue to be able to pull them and find them a loving home in whatever amount of time it takes.
