My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Prince Nelson! He is approximately 1 yr old and is a total sweetheart. His first year of life was spent crated nearly 24/7 without much time for play and freedom, but foster care has shown him that this is no longer his life and now he is ready to find his forever home! While in foster care, Prince has been doing great at potty training, has learned basic commands quickly, goes into his crate at night with no problem and sleeps through the night. He also walks great on a leash and loves his walks. His foster parents take him for walks twice a day which helps him burn his excess energy. Prince also loves puzzle/treat toys and filled bones. He loves to run in the yard with his foster sister(he can't keep up but he sure loves to try!). Another dog or a yard is not a must if you are willing to take him for walks regularly as he continues his potty training. He also likes to lounge outside in the fresh air when weather permits. Prince is very good with other dogs and is also good with cats. Prince loves kids, but we recommend older kids as Prince does not know his size and can easily knock younger/unsteady children over. He is still learning not to jump up on people. Prince is a little shy and anxious around new things and he will back away to allow his foster sister to make sure all is safe for him. His foster family is working on helping him build his self confidence. Lots of positive encouragement! He loves to make you happy! Prince Nelson's adoption fee is $300. We are a small rescue who cares for all our pets in
foster homes. We do NOT have a facility & all animals
are seen by appointment only, after an application has
been approved.
Dogs' adoption fee includes vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care they may need. For some dogs, the fee may be reduced for reasons that can be made available. Cats' adoption fee include vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care. All are heartworm negative. We require all possible adopters to fill out an adoption application, and to submit themselves to home visits by staff or volunteers, or by local rescues. Vet reference will be required and will be used. Upon adopting, an adoption contract will be signed. Call me or email to start this process.

I got involved with rescue work out of love for animals. I had decided to set up my own rescue. I serve mostly deaf animals because they are first to be put down and are usually deemed untrainable, unadoptable and unlovable. I didn't feel this was right or fair.
