Luna is a high-energy, playful 10-month-old beagle mix girl weighing 30 pounds. She is a happy, fun, and affectionate young dog who wants to be everybody's friend! She loves people and enjoys being the center of attention.
Luna is good with other dogs and enjoys running and playing with her canine sister, Selene. She loves stuffed toys, balls, and chew toys. She also likes to dig and chew on sticks and rocks (yes rocks) and is very proud of her findings. While Luna enjoys plenty of activity, she also likes to relax and cuddle with her people.
Luna is athletic, has long legs, runs fast, and can easily jump a 3-foot fence or gate. She loves being with her people and gets very excited and vocal and "talkative" when she sees them. She is learning basic commands like Down and Sit but she is still in puppy mode and can get can be jumpy and mouthy when excited.
An ideal home for Luna would be an active family committed to ensuring she receives the attention, exercise & playtime she needs while providing the love & affection she deserves. She would do best with a family that appreciates her goofy, playful self and is willing to work with her on behavior and potty training. She would also love a canine sibling and a fenced yard to run around. Luna would be a great and loyal companion on family outings, hiking, long walks, running and car rides. Luna is overall a well-rounded young girl.
NOTE: The dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full-time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor, or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet, and other important parts of your child's anatomy.

More about this rescue
BREW Midwest is the midwest region of BREW Inc. (Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare). We are a network of volunteers and foster homes across Western PA, OH, MI, IN and IL.
Our Mission:
*Rescue beagles in danger of euthanasia from shelters
*Help beagles that have been removed from neglectful or abusive situations
*Educate families about beagles and their special qualities
*Find kind, loving families for homeless or abandoned beagles.
BREW is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing beagles. The main focus is beagles in shelters that are faced with imminent extermination. BREW works with shelters and animal control facilities and adopt beagles to families throughout our region. In addition to our rescue efforts, BREW is dedicated to increasing public awareness of pet overpopulation and encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their pets. Towards that end, no beagle over six months of age is adopted from BREW without being spayed or neutered. BREW also works to alert people about the disadvantages of purchasing pets from a "pet store."
