My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kangaroo - with the most adorable of ear tufts, and sweetest of personalities! Kangaroo is not a cat that will allow you to do things alone - nope. So if you like being an independent cat owner - think twice before coming for this girl! In fact, she's the type that would be happy to join people anywhere & everywhere; she doesn't mind one bit! She gets along greatly with other cats, dogs, and doesn't seem to mind much! She adores being petted on, loved on, and essentially anywhere within a 3 ft radius of people. Fortunately, when she is left alone, she's just as happy to sunbathe waiting for their return. Did I mention just how playful she is, and as photogenic? We were having a fun game with a flirt toy and suddenly she stopped, looked directly at my camera, and modeled. She's an icon at only a year and a half old!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
