My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi! My name is Tan Z and I'd love to meet you. I'm a shy little heeler mix. I'm playful with other dogs and snuggly with people. My favorite part of the day is training time. I'm really proud of myself because I can sit and wait for my breakfast and dinner, I can walk on a lead and I'm really good at using the doggy door. My favorite place to hang out when not attached to my people is my crate. I also give good warnings if I need to potty.

As you can see from my pictures I have a beautiful short coat that doesn't shed very much. My foster mom says petting me is like rubbing velvet. My personality is soft and sweet even when I'm playing with my 5 year old human brother. I love when he throws toys for me and plays tug. I especially like when he gives me treats for doing new tricks like sit and down. I'm not perfect at them yet, but we have a lot of fun working together.

I like going new places, but I get a little scared if it's too noisy. I promise I settle quickly with help, like pets or being distracted by treats. I'm quite small right now, but should grow to 40-45 pounds.
