Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Loving home needed for BONDED cats!
Meet PIXIE! Pixie is a beautiful, long-haired 11 year old orange cat. She had always been a charmer at her first home, and stayed that way for quite some time. She then was given the gift of a partner (Buttons). From that point on, she was less gentle and less personable to some people. She eats well, she and her boyfriend are quite good together. We are hoping we can find them the perfect cat person's home. One of her legs has a problem with mobility, as there is likely to be nerve damage from before she arrived at K9Kastle. But this doesn't stop her from running around the room and playing with her boyfriend. The doctors have seen her and have not given any particular recommendations for treating her leg, but so far she seems to be doing fine with it and doesn't complain. Pixie is a quiet and shy girl, but with enough time and patience to help her warm up, is quite able to bond.
Meet BUTTONS! Buttons came to Pixie when another cat in our organization died. Some very good natured volunteers with K9Kastle brought this lovely young cat to be Pixie's new companion. He is very close with Pixie, very good together, and we are looking for one home for both of them. Buttons, like all our cats, is completely house trained, and loves to play. He loves to eat (not on any special diet), and would do well in a home with only adults. He is very handsome, white with caramel/orange patches. He keeps to himself (other than Pixie), and is quite shy, but generally good natured.
Pixie & Buttons need to be in a home with adults only.
Like all animals adopted from the ANIMAL ADOPTION VETERINARY CENTER & K9KASTLE, Pixie & Buttons come with ONE YEAR TOTALLY FREE VETERINARY CARE for any illness, if one occurs in the first year, and FREE LIFETIME ANNUAL EXAMS at the LOW COST VET MOBILE!

More about this rescue
Companion Animal Network was founded by Garo Alexanian in 1989 out of a love for animals and out of frustration at the high euthansia rate of animals in the New York Metropolitan area. Since then Garo and Companion Animal Network have taken an active part in the animal rescue community by raising awareness both publically and politically and has rescued/adopted over 2000 animals.
In association with the Animal Care and Control of NYC and the Mayor's Alliance, Companion Animal Network created the "Safety Net" Program which assists pet owners with low-cost vet care, boarding, legal assistance and other solutions in helping owners keep their pets when faced with hardship situations.
