My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friends!!! I'm about 8 weeks old. I was left outside a rural Utah shelter all alone to fend for myself. I'm a happy girl with all the energy and love in the world looking for a family of my own to share adventures with. I'm pretty brand new to the world, I'm still learning about potty training and my crate but I am doing well at both. I love the dogs and kids in my foster home. I love to chew on my toys and play. I'm waiting for my second set of shots in three weeks before we can make this official, but if you think I might be the girl for you, fill out an application and let's be friends, I love friends!

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
