My name is Zephyr!

Zephyr is a charming Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise mix with a gentle, easygoing personality. He's a little lovebug who enjoys being held, cuddled, and following his humans around wherever they go. He also loves to play, whether it's with his brother or his favorite people, making him a fun and affectionate companion.

This sweet pup is good with other dogs and adjusts well to new experiences-loud noises, the dog brush, or meeting new people don't faze him one bit! He recently had a bath and didn't mind the water at all, showing his laid-back attitude. Zephyr is highly food motivated and has already learned the word "treat, making him eager to learn and train.

Potty training is a work in progress, and Zephyr is currently using potty pads in his designated area. He's still figuring out the concept, but with some extra guidance, he'll get the hang of it soon. Zephyr and his brother sleep soundly in their fenced area on their cozy beds, with no issues settling in for the night.

Whether it's playtime, car rides, or cuddle sessions, Zephyr is a sweet, well-behaved pup ready to bring joy and affection to his future forever family!

They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website.We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
