My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These bonded boys are from a litter that had 24 hours to vacate a demolition property in Salem, Oregon at the same time we were experiencing the 100°+ heatwave. They literally were surrounded by trains, industrial manufacturing, and Semis running up and down right next to that property. Hence they were born into one tight and tough situation; but have not only survived, but are thriving now since they been rescued. Paddy, aka Paddy Cakes, white fur covering the bottom half of his face horizontally, is a super friendly, outgoing boy. He LOVES attention, he loves to be petted, and to cuddle and purrs up a storm. Paddy gets along very well with other kitties and first to warm up to humans. He loves to play and is super fast. This cat is a lover and a chatterbox. Sprite, on the other hand, white fur up his nose vertically, is timid in the beginning but LOVES attention. Once you get Sprite in your lap, the purring begins and he gets comfy with you. Sprite loves to talk and snuggle, too. He is very open to making new friends with other cats. It is unknown how they are with small children or dogs. And strangers will talk a little time to feel comfortable around. But anyone would be lucky to get these little guys as they will brighten up any household. They were both neutered on 8/28/24 and also tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus and both negative. They also are vaccinated with FVRCP (treats/prevents Distemper, Herpes, and URIs) 3xs (boostered), and FelV immunization 2xs plus Rabies 1yr shot. Flea treated monthly and dewormed three times. And they are microchipped. They will be delivered to the lucky family's home with medical record. We are asking for a adoption fee of $350/bonded pair. This sweet duo lives in Albany.

Additional adoption info

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. To help our potential adopters learn more about the cat(s), we encourage them to first contact and discuss with the foster family if it might be a good fit. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
