If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Rusty is an incredible dog. I started fostering him in August 2024. He is 2 years old. Rusty is super friendly, loving, open, affectionate, and happy. He is smart, calm and knows commands. He is an excellent dog for anyone who is interested in an easy-going dog you will feel really connected to. He loves to play and he is very ready to find his forever family. Rusty was saved from shelter euthanasia after being dumped there, and I feel incredible that he is alive and gets a second chance at an amazing life. Rusty is house trained and potty trained. He deserves the best. Rusty was surrendered by his owners who listed resource guarding as the reason; however he showed no signs of resource guarding at the shelter from where he was rescued, and no signs of resource guarding with me. In any case, Rusty would do well in a home that can get him training or is comfortable training him should any issue like that arise. You will love him so much. He is ready to find his home.
