My name is Birdie II!

Birdie is friendly and comfortable with people right off the bat. She's a tiny little thing with a moderate amount of spunk. Birdie loves other dogs better than toys and tries to convince her foster brothers to play with her. They do their best but then it's time for a nap. She is quite food motivated and enjoys chew bones of any type, although she has shown absolutely no food aggression. She's curious about things but not destructive. She will howl in anticipation of dinner time and bark at play time to keep the fun times rolling. Birdie seeks attention from her humans and will join with the other dogs for pets, but she is polite and won't push the others aside. Birdie's foster mom says she will let her hold her like a baby and is a great snuggler -- she'll snuggle with other dogs as well but ignores the cats -- and she occasionally gives dainty little kisses. Amazingly the shelter she was pulled from thought she was advanced in her senior years, but they were wrong and the veterinarian estimates her at about 5 years. Birdie needs a home with a playful companion where she does not have to spend too much time in a crate. She is heartworm negative and will be ready to go on sleepover by October 4th.
