My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Nordy! I've been told that I'm an affectionate, sweet and easy-going pup. I have a huge smile and love to make people happy. I'm just over one year old but most of my puppy is out of me. I'm potty trained and house trained, jackpot right?! I do love to run at the park, play a game of fetch, or a nice steady walk. I can be independent, find my own space and settle in during the day. My strengths are that I give the best kisses, I'm a great cuddler and I'm great with all humans, kiddos included. I'm pretty smart and will even bring you my leash when I want to go out for a walk! I get along with other dogs but a nice introduction never hurts! I know I'd be a great addition to any family, people tell me that all of the time. I have so much love to give, despite the things I've been through. I just need a family that's ready. Hopefully we see each other soon! Love, Nordy

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
