My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dahlia! Dahlia is very strong, but willing to please and looks to you for guidance and reassurance. Dahlia likes to lay around and cuddle with you on the couch, and she loves her food! S likes to go hiking and on long, strenuous walks. Up to date on all of her shots, house broken--yes. Also, she walked right past my cat and didn't even look at her.

Go meet their pets

We would love for you to meet one of our rescue dogs! As we are a foster-based rescue, we don't have a facility. You can make an appointment with us to meet a dog in Tahlequah, OK area. Please email us at waymaker@waymakerrescue.org if interested in meeting a specific dog.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and to facilitate needed services of food, spay/neuter, medical care, and temporary housing. We partner with local veterinarians and fosters to provide these needed services while we work to find permanent, caring homes for each dog. In addition, we create public awareness on the importance of spay/neuter, medical, and nutritional care for pets in our local community.
