My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Absolutely adorable! Ozzie is approx 11wks old and currently weighs 14lbs. He should be about 40lbs when full grown. If you can imagine, at 8-9wks old this sweet, silly boy was abandoned in an orchard. Luckily he was found quickly so the weather and other animals didn’t harm him. He has been safe in a foster home and now that he’s had a couple of vaccines, he’s ready for a committed, loving forever home. He is very social and friendly so a socially active home would be best. He also must have someone that will be very affectionate with him because he loves to cuddle! Typical of the Aussie breed, he is very intelligent so he must have an experienced person that understands this breed and will continue training. He is also an active boy, always up for an adventure so an athletically active family is a must. He loves to play with his foster sibling so another dog in the home would be great, but it’s not required. He should at least have plenty of playdates. Ozzie gets along with the kitties, too. He must have a 5ft or he there, securely fenced yard and kids must be over 8yrs old. He is still too young to neuter so his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters should email info@k9rr.org to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.

Unless otherwise specified, K9 R&R adoption fees range from $350-$500 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips and help as needed, for the life of the dogs.

K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.

More about this rescue

K9 R&R rescues dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.
