For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps K9 Rescue & Rehabilitation with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful baby girl is now a little over 3mo old, weighs 22lbs and she’s ready for her own, forever home. She is the remaining puppy from a litter of 8. Cacie is a very smart puppy and she’s learning how fun training games are. Continued training will ensure she grows up to be well mannered k9 citizen. She is an outgoing, affectionate girl but she can be just a little shy when first meeting. After just a few minutes she opens up to become very curious and social. She is also a somewhat independent girl so she can self entertain if her person is busy. She gets along great with other dogs and cats, but she is ok by herself, too. If there are no other animals in the home, she should have plenty of play dates to keep her well socialized with animals. Her mama (pictured) is a 73lb girl so we expect Cacie to be about 70lbs or so, too. She must have a securely fenced yard. A shepherd experienced home is required and kids must be over 8yrs old. She is not old enough to be spayed so the upcoming surgery will be scheduled at adoption.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Interested adopters should email info@k9rr.org to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.
Unless otherwise specified, K9 R&R adoption fees range from $350-$500 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips and help as needed, for the life of the dogs.
K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.

More about this rescue
K9 R&R rescues dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.
