My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Flame!

He is a 5 month old, 6 pounds domestic long hair (DLH) kitten with mostly gray fur, with some white splotches on his belly and chest and white tufts behind each ear. His fur is very soft, which you will have ample opportunity to discover as Flame adores being pet and will push into your hands for more.

A perfect day includes lots of pets and cuddles, and Flame will respond with a lot of purring and ""kneading"" at the floor. He also loves to bat around cat toys and chase them. Flame is litter trained, outgoing and curious even while adjusting to a new place, and playful. He dislikes very loud noises. Flame gets along with other cats, kitten or adult.

Flame's favorite things include head rubs and chin scritches, shoelaces and mouse toys, and of course cat treats.

Flame would be a perfect match for you if you're looking for a high energy kitten who is social, playful and gets along with other pets. It won't take very long for him to warm up to you, and for you to have a lapful of purring, cuddly kitten.

Flame is being fostered in Staten Island, NY.

Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization.

The adoption fee for a single kitten is $150, a pair of kittens is $200

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."
