My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Marcey (marceycollman@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

I was found outside all alone at Picnic Island in S. Tampa, but that's okay, because I'm going to make someone very happy when they adopt me! Don't let my shy demeaner turn you off. Once I warm up to you and know that I can trust you, I will be right by your side making my little chirping sounds to let you know that I'm happy. I am still a kitten so I love to play and I have high energy. I am not shy at all around other cats; in fact, I am pretty forward with other cats and sometimes they need time to get used to it. I like my catnip toys and my wand toy and am the most curious boy. Will you be my forever person???
Zachary is VERY shy at first with people but warms up once he knows he can trust you. It just takes time, consistency, love, and treats. He is quite literally the perfect cat. He gets the cutest zoomies every morning and evening and loves to interact with you. Zachary has the most adorable curly, long ear hair and the softest fur! Zachary will be a fantastic companion!

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.
