For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Danvers and Navarro are three-year-old sister guinea pigs looking for a loving guardian together.
These girls came to Friends of Petraits Rescue when their family could no longer care for them.
These girls have shy, sweet temperaments and get along beautifully with each other, other female guinea pigs, and with people.
They eat unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, share two cups of fresh salad each day and a 1/4 cup of pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch square of red pepper, or some of their dark leafy greens.
Please read up on guinea pig care and diet before adopting by visiting this excellent website http://www.guinealynx.info/
They would love a home with people who will handle them daily, keep them well-fed, nails trimmed, and keep their habitat nice and clean.
If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Danvers and Navarro, please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
Their adoption fee of $50 as a pair benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $50, you can purchase their Midwest guinea pig cage and all their supplies.
They are being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
