My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bram is a 1-year-old, 73-pound Blue Lacy/Lab/Possibly Mountain Cur mix with a heart full of love and energy to spare! This handsome boy is a true best friend in the making. He adores people of all ages—kids, adults, and even the elderly—and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to a family or household with other pups.

Bram is a playful and energetic dog who loves to fetch and can spend hours running around at the dog park. He’s equally happy cuddling up with you on the couch after an active day. Bram enjoys playing with toys, devouring treats, and soaking up all the pets and affection you can give. While he’s house-trained and crate-trained, he’s still learning to walk nicely on a leash. With some patience and practice, he'll be your perfect walking companion.

Although Bram sheds a bit and barks occasionally, he doesn’t display any bad behaviors like resource guarding or destructiveness. Loud noises can make him nervous, but his love for his people and his eagerness to please help him navigate new experiences with confidence.

Bram already knows commands like "sit," "come," and "hey," and he’s ready to keep learning more. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and energetic companion to join your adventures, Bram is your guy!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
