My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a beauty this girl is! Say hello to Moon, a 4.5-month old, 21-pound (as of 10/13) Plott Hound mix, who will light up your life and be the star of your galaxy!

Moon is housebroken, responds to the commands sit, come, and bedtime, and loves being outdoors, whether for a walk or simply to sunbathe. She’s learning proper leash manners and is an attentive listener, especially if she knows there’s a treat is involved.

Easy-going, fun, and friendly, Moon is marvelous around humans and other dogs. She is playful and engaging with every person she meets, and she absolutely loves romping around with other pups when given the chance. Moon’s favorite toys are Nylabones and tug ropes, but she really likes ‘em all!

Moon is a huge cuddler and thrives on all manner of touching. You can pet her anywhere, scratch her ears, massage her head, rub her belly, and it’s wanted and welcome. Moon enjoys sitting on the couch and snuggling in real close, and will often fall asleep leaning into you. Awww! She shares her possessions with ease, she doesn’t bark much, and she seems to be a relaxed traveler. How nice!

Moon is a calm, super sweet hound who is the ideal blend of active and affectionate. She’s got plenty of puppy energy, but at the same time, she is easy to entertain and surprisingly chill for such a youngin’. One of Moon’s cutest habits is, when she is tired and ready for bed, she will bring a blanket to you. Her bed ALWAYS has to have one! :-) Moon is just the cutest thing ever and would make a great addition to any person or family!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
