My name is Maya!

Maya is a small 8lb tuxedo kitty who just turned 9 yo this past August. We adopted her from the shelter in Maine when she was 2 (a previous barn kitty) and brought her on a road trip when we moved to NC! She loves laying in the sun and playing with toys on a string. Although a little skittish at first, once she opens up she loves laying in your lap and making biscuits. We adopted a golden retriever about a year ago who loves Maya but the feelings are not mutual. We tried to make it work but ultimately feel Maya will be more comfortable in a home with no dogs. Maya is great with people and has lots of life and spunk left in her. We’re sad to give her up, but hoping to find peace in knowing she’ll be going to a loving home. (She is also declawed in her front, so scratching furniture won’t be an issue!)
