Hi everyone! My name is Trooper. If you're looking for a new BFF, I'm your guy! I'm a Treeing Walker Coonhound about 4 yrs old. I am neutered and up to date on my shots!

I am super loving, sweet, dog-friendly, and just a really good boy! I walk well on a leash, know some commands & tricks, and have a lot of love to give!

I was abandoned at some point, I can't remember it too well. I used to be a great hunting partner but then I was dumped and brought to a shelter. I don't understand why but my foster mom promises nothing but love & happy days for me from here in out-- and I think that sounds wonderful!

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
