My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ANJA (pronounced AnYa) is a beautiful, approx 3 yr young, extremely playful, Siberian Husky, spayed female, abt 56lbs, fully vaccinated and house trained. She ENJOYS dog parks and/or doggie day care and would make a GREAT running, hiking, jogging or biking partner. PLAYTIME (any exercise) is an important routine for this girl; she THRIVES on playtime … especially a game of fetch !
And we know “A tired dog is a good dog !” ANJA is SMART with a strong Playful nature & Independent. She KNOWS how to sit and shake AND is learning the command “wait”. ANJA LOVES car rides and walks pretty well on leash (esp for a husky) and… She LIKES kids but would do BEST w/adult only home. ANJA lives with other dogs but none that are tolerant of her consistent playful nature. ANJA is not super strong willed like most huskies; ironically. she'll complain but usually will give in...unless it's a TOY she's protecting, then it is BEST to trade a higher value treat in order to get the toy away.

Anja is energetic and vocal; she will let you know if she’s happy, mad, or bored. She can be an escape artist if bored enough; so, a home with a large fenced yard (preferably 6ft) or a long runner is definitely required. Protecting her yard from squirrels or any small critter is important to her ;-)

This girl was saved from being euthanized at a county shelter in Dec 2023; she is now searching for a family that can provide her with the TLC , PLAY or EXERCISE she needs to be her best ! She is currently living in Kettering, OH area.

More about this rescue

DREAM is a network of VOLUNTEERS and foster based with efforts focused on Rescue, Rehabilitation and RE-homing of companion dogs that are neglected, abandoned and sometimes living in county shelters. Our goals: offer resources to REDUCE the overpopulation of cats and dogs - thus reducing euthanizing, PROVIDE educational resources to assist with "responsible pet ownership" and RAISE FUNDS to help with necessary vetting for the pets we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.

Our adoptions are never finalized until we are 100% assured there is a perfect match for both the applicant and the dog being adopted. Sending us the adoption application is the first step. You will find the application online (on the Adopt Me page at Dream4pets.org). A home visit and reference checks are also made prior to any adoption. Our adoption process typically begins 3 days after the application has been received..
