My name is Stormy!

Meet Stormy! Stormy is a young and adorable "mini" American Pitbull Terrier mix, weighing approximately 35 pounds and estimated at approximately one-year-old. She came to rescue as a surrender, the story being that she originally showed up as a stray in this person's yard. They tried for a month to rehome her or find her owners, with no luck. Unfortunately the existing dogs in the home were not too fond of Stormy, so she needed a new place to go. We are hoping to help this sweet girl find a forever home ASAP! Stormy is nervous of new people at first, and will shake and avoid you. If you go slow, and someone who already knows Stormy can show her that you are a-ok, she will soon be seeking out attention from you. When Stormy knows you, she will greet you with zoomies and tail wags. She walks well on leash and would love to go exploring with you. Stormy came to rescue fearful and under-socialized with other dogs. She has been working on this and making good progress. Stormy has a Cattle Dog friend who she goes on walks with, and sniffs around the yard with. We are requiring a dog intro prior to adopting, and an experienced owner to help Stormy continue her progress with her canine friends. If you are looking for a petite "big" dog and want to rescue an animal in need, you've found her!
