My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Murphy. He’s just a shy guy looking for a trusted friend who likes to go for walks and then snuggle up on the couch with a good book.
Though Murphy is a pretty young fella, he’s an old soul and he’s looking for a loving home that will help him continue to blossom. Murphy is about 2 years old and is an adorable chocolate morsel. He’s on the smaller side of medium and will make the very best friend!

Murphy is enrolled in our Sit, Stay, Adopt program that is geared towards dogs who may need a bit more TLC pre and post adoption. To learn more or inquire about adoption, please contact our Outreach and Behavior Coordinator Emily Herr at herre@bloomington.in.gov

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.
