Be honest....who doesn't want the WHOLE ENCHILADA? Well, do we have the perfect little lady for you. Enchilada came to us stuffed with 7 black or black and white babies (Taco, Burrito, Churro and Queso are also still here looking for homes, too). She was a great mama to these little treats, like a chef lovingly preparing a taco meal. But, Enchilada is now spayed and ready to be someone's baby herself.
This 1-2-year-old is super sweet, but shy at first. You may not see her in her colony right away - she loves lounging on the catio and hiding out in the catwalk. But, if given a few minutes for her to sniff you out, she'll deem you a friend and soak up some head scratches. We could see Enchilada blossoming in a calmer home where she's allowed to acclimate on her own time. She likes other cats, and slow intros with dogs would be key. Super hyper ones may spook her. She's good with kids, but grabby ones may also spook her. She needs gentle energy to match her vibe. Enchilada is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
