My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pepper: Your Future Feline Companion!

Introducing Pepper, a 2 year old sweet and spirited kitty who has a heart full of love just waiting to share it! This charming girl was once a stray, but the moment she met us, she confidently approached, asking for pets with her gentle purrs and affectionate demeanor. It was clear she was ready to find her forever home!

A Journey to Safety: When we discovered that Pepper was pregnant, we took her to the animal center for care. Although they recognized her friendly nature and intended to put her up for adoption, the center was over capacity. Rather than risk her being released back onto the streets, we welcomed her into our home, committed to finding her the loving family she deserves.

Personality Plus!
After two months with us, Pepper has blossomed into an incredibly friendly and social cat. She loves to follow us from room to room, always eager to be part of the action. Whether she’s chatting with us while we work or curling up beside us at night, Pepper thrives on human companionship. She’s a pro at making herself comfortable—whether it’s on the bed, at our feet in the office, or snuggled up on the couch.

Overcoming Challenges: Having spent time on the streets, Pepper does experience some separation anxiety. While she can still feel nervous when left alone, she has made great strides and can now handle longer periods by herself. With your love and patience, she will continue to grow more confident!

Playful and Smart: Pepper is not just a cuddle bug; she’s also a playful huntress! She adores playtime and needs daily engagement to keep her happy and healthy. She’s easy to care for—she lets us clip her nails and enjoys bath time! Plus, she’s already litter box trained and will let you know when it’s time for a refill at her water bowl with a gentle meow.

Pepper is an ideal companion for singles or families looking for a loving pet. She’s outgoing and friendly with new people but prefers to be the only pet in the home. Her protective nature means she can be territorial around other animals, so she would thrive as your one-and-only feline friend.

If you're ready to welcome a loyal companion who will fill your life with joy and love, Pepper is waiting for you! Come meet this delightful girl today and see if she's the perfect match for your home!

Pepper is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.

Please fill out our adoption questionnaire so you can meet her in person at her foster home in San Jose, CA https://form.jotform.com/pinkpawsftc/adoption

This is a courtesy posting for an independent rescuer in San Jose. The questionnaire will be forwarded to her and she will reach out to you to coordinate a visit.

Additional adoption info

While we do offer a FaceTime or in home visit, it is not about checking on your housekeeping. The purpose of the home visit is to check for safety hazards so that we can counsel new adopters how to make a safer environment for their new family member.
