My story

Hi there! My name is Gilma, and I`m a sweet pup looking for my furever home. I`m a bit on the shy and reserved side, but once I get to know you, I think I am the most affectionate and gentle girl you`ll ever meet. I may take some time and patience to start, but I promise it`s worth it! I love cuddling up on blankets and staying cozy. And while I may not be the life of the party, I`m perfectly content being your loyal and devoted companion. So if you`re looking for a furry friend who will cherish you just as much as you cherish them, I might be the pup for you!
I’m full grown at ~44lbs.
How did I get here? Transferred from Wake County Animal Center.

**I will be spayed before going home. I have been diagnosed with heartworm disease and will begin treatment soon - please speak with an adoption specialist for details. I am currently living at the admission center - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet me in person!**

Adoption Fees:
Dogs 7 months and older: $95
Puppies 6 months and younger: $300
Cats 7 months and older: $45
Kittens 6 months and younger: $150
Rabbits: $35
Guinea pigs: $15

Adoption fees for dogs and cats include:
First vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, deworming and flea preventative.

All cats and kittens have been tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).

All dogs and puppies have received heartworm preventative, and dogs/puppies over the age of six months have been tested for heartworms.

All rabbits are spayed or neutered.
