Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I’m Lukas, a cute little Terrier mix with great big ears and a great personality. I’m about 7 months old, weigh 20.3 lbs, and my mama is a scruffy gray Schnauzer mix named Lainey (see her picture). I’m a very sweet and happy boy, friendly with people young and old, and always on board for pets and affection. I'm playful, and I have a wonderfully sweet and joyful disposition. I love playtime with other dogs, running zoomies, and playing with doggy toys. I love to explore and investigate new surroundings with my tail wagging and a willing spirit, and I’m always happy to tag along on any new adventures with my family. I’m a good boy, don't mind a crate, and doing great with housebreaking and leash walking. My foster mom says I'm a sweet boy and will fit in nicely with any family.
My start in life wasn't the best when I was dumped with my siblings and mama near an animal shelter in Elmendorf Texas. Thankfully we were taken in by 4 Little Paws Rescue and sent to a foster home while getting ready for adoption. Now my future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast! Inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
