ACTIVE, FUN & READY FOR ADVENTURE: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 26 lbs.
Hi, my name is Clay! I joined the Mostly Mutts family when they rescued me from animal control. I’m keeping the volunteers on their toes with my energetic personality. Always on the move and ready for adventure, I look forward to being active with my new family. Let’s exercise together!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I do not like other dogs and should be your only dog – not to worry, I’ll be all the dog you could ever want, and we’ll have a blast together! / I haven’t met cats, but I do not think we should live together. / I’d like a home without kids as I guard my toys and have snapped over them. Perhaps if you have older teens, we can talk.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an active and enthusiastic guy who is playful and ready for fun. If it’s playtime, I am all in and I see many things as toys, so I’ll toss them all around to play! I was well-mannered for my bath, so it was a breeze. I’m a people dog who greets the volunteers with unbridled joy. / My energy level is 7-9, so I am looking for an active family member to help me direct my energy with fun adventures.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. So far I’ve mastered the ‘sit’ command and I’m sure I’ll learn more soon. I’ll also be working on my toy sharing manners, as I seriously guard anything that I consider a toy. Check back soon to see my progress. / I can be a bit jumpy getting out of my kennel, as I am super excited to be with the volunteers. I sometimes push the bottom tray of my crate out so I can play/chew it, so make sure it’s secure please. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being with people and am enthusiastic when they come to spend time with me. I also really love tennis balls, the XL red plastic ball in the MM play yard and squeaky toys. In fact, I like anything I consider a toy a bit TOO much, and I will nip to guard them. Sorry about that! I’m excited for mealtime, so the volunteers have me using a slow feeder, which is good for the digestion for fast eaters. / I can’t think of any other dislikes besides those mentioned above but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, EXERCISE, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
I am looking for a fun-loving family who is dedicated to spending the time with me necessary to meet my energy needs! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
