My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is our resident rock star. At only 11 months old he's had a couple procedures performed (as you may notice in his pictures-he's a tripod!) yet he romps around roarin' to go like he doesn't even notice he's meant to have four legs in the first place. Jake is a young dog with energy that will need to be stimulated in ways other than physical at this time. Food puzzles and training will be beneficial and just as exhausting as physical exercise while he goes through his physical therapy period. Do you have the time and space for a truly sweet soul with a natural pep in his step? Jake looks forward to meeting you!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
