Luna's name may mean "moon" but her personality is bright, warm and shiny like the sun!
Luna is a 1.5 year old English bulldog who has some funny ideas about what being a "bulldog" is all about.
While other bulldogs are obsessed with toys, Luna is more interested in chasing your feet. Don't get me wrong, she loves a great chew toy too.
While the other bulldogs run and play in the yard, Luna prefers to be tucked right beside you following your lead.
Luna truly believes that she, at 55 pounds, is your perfect lap pup and I tend to agree!
She is learning what being a "puppy" is all about so bursts of energy and play followed by naps and snuggles are always in the forecast!
It has been truly remarkable to watch her journey from the scared dog that came through the rescue's doors to the one who is learning - piece by piece- that SHE MATTERS!
Luna would be best in a home that can be patient with her as she finds her confidence in her new surroundings. She may be shy at first but warms up quickly - especially when she is offered a hug.
When it comes to potty training, Luna came into rescue with a urinary tract infection, so we are currently working on it. She is a very smart dog who wants to make you smile so it should be no time before this is mastered.
Luna is still learning to walk on a leash but, if you are going, she will be right there with you! She is hesitant to do potty breaks on leash but is working hard on learning everyday!
Luna is in a foster home with other dogs but due to her shy personality and need for confidence, we do recommend following the decompression protocol with a slow introduction.
The smile and warmth coming from this girl are contagious and make even the rainiest of days one that is filled with a sunny outlook.
If you think that your home would be the perfect place for Luna to complete her GLOW UP, fill out the application and let's chat about her becoming a part of your family.
