My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 'Pretty Lady' has the perfect name, because she is just that. She is a Terrier Mix, who was surrendered to ARC because her owner just didn't have the time to care for her. She is a playful dog with lots of love to share and has the most beautiful smile. Pretty Lady loves attention and is always appreciative of some treats. She will make a wonderful addition to someone's home, could it be yours?

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
