Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $275, plus taxes
Location: CSHS Adoption & Wellness Center
Meet Carleton, a captivating 6-month-old female cat who embodies both beauty and charm.
She has very pretty torti coloring and soft fur. She has a very sweet gentle nature and purrs easily and often when she is close. She does enjoy your company and being close as she often likes to be by your side and snuggle close.
She definitely has her playful side as well. She is very athletic and fast. She is lightning quick climbing to new heights and looking things over. She would love a nice high cat tree by a window. Carleton really has fun if you play with her with her favorite wand and string toy with a feather on the end or a little squiggly worm. Carleton is a great companion and would be a wonderful new family member.
Carleton is a female, about 6 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
