Location: Foster Home
Meet Carleton, a captivating 5-month-old female cat who embodies both beauty and charm. With her uniquely marked coat, she's impossible to miss-a striking visual delight that will catch your eye from across the room.
Carleton's playful spirit shines through as she bounds around her space, delighting in her favorite wand toys and consistently showcasing her acrobatic skills by climbing to the highest perch of her kitty tree.
Beyond her playful antics, she is a social butterfly, greeting her humans with full-bodied purrs and affectionate head bumps that communicate her boundless love. Carleton is not just a pet; she's an engaging companion ready to fill your home with joy, laughter, and warmth. If you're searching for a loyal friend who brings both energy and affection, Carleton is poised to become a cherished member of your family.
Carleton is a female, about 5 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
