Meet Penelope! This sweet girl was found abandoned at the beach. She was covered in fleas, had severe hair loss, and was not feeling too great. Fast forward 2 months and she's doing so well! She loves every animal she meets and is always down for a good snuggle session with her favorite human. She can be timid sometimes but comes out of her shell quickly, especially when another animal is around. She is UTD on vaccines but has not been spayed yet. She can be spayed prior to adoption upon request. If she gets adopted prior to being spayed, a spay contract will be put in place to ensure she is fixed.

DPR was established in 2004 as a 501(c) non profit organize and an all volunteer rescue organization. We are not a shelter. We rescue both cats and dogs. We care for these pets in our foster homes until proper and stable homes are found through a multi-step adoption process. Our ultimate goal is to match families with our pets so that they live out their lives in loving, educated, safe homes for the remainder of their lives. Our additional goals in rescue are to educate the public in the importance of spaying/neutering and exposing the truth behind pet store puppys and the horrors of puppy mills.
