A22316 Xander is a brown brindle with white colored, approximately 1-year-old, 42-pound, neutered male, Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 09-27-2024 and was altered by our medical staff.
Xander is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is super excited to see people and is a big wiggle butt. He has had some training and will "sit and "down really well and does OK with "stay and "come. He seems to be dog selective and a meet and greet is suggested if there are other dogs in the home, but he loves people. He was easy to leash but pulls in excitement to be out for a walk. Very energetic, bouncy and playful, pulling to smell everything. Xander will be a fun playful family member in his new forever home.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
