Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy folks, my name is Waylon, and I was left behind at a veterinary clinic in Floresville Texas with my brother Willie when our owner could no longer care for us. We were taken in by a lady who fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue and we’ve been having fun ever since. Now that we are neutered and fully vetted we are ready to find forever homes!
I’m a very happy and silly 11 lb, 5-year-old male Chiweenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix) with a goofy little trot cuz my knees bow out and goofy ears that sometimes stand up and sometimes fold over, but whatever they are doing, I’m always adorable! I make friends easily with people young and old, and I get along great with other dogs and enjoy their company. I love playtime and chew toys, and I’m bonkers for mealtime and any variety of doggy treats. I’m sort of a velcro dog who loves to be near you, and cuddling beside you while we watch TV. I’ll lay quietly in my doggy bed for hours each day watching my foster mom work from her desk and at bedtime, I’ll need to sleep beside you each night. I’m not very kissy and won't be slobbering all over you, but I love pets, and snuggles, going for walks, and taking rides in the car. I’m very well-behaved, rarely bark, and am fully housebroken, not even 1 potty accident in my foster home. I’m good and easy when taking a bath and it turns out I love chasing and biting the water coming out of a garden hose, running and jumping, and having great fun in the process. I’m a crack-up! My foster parents say I’m a total sweetheart with a gentle spirit, loving nature, easy to fall in love with, cute, silly, and entertaining, and very low maintenance. I’m ready to become someone’s forever dog and I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be. Inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
