Lucy was a rescue. She is part Great Pyrenees, but do not know the other breed. She was born in January 2024 and we adopted her in March 2024. Currently 8 Months old.
She is very sweet and loving to our family, however, she has severe anxiety. She is not aggressive, and has not bitten or nipped - but she can get over-excited or have spontaneous behavior, which is causing an issue with two very young children getting knocked over or stepped on.
She has a prescription for an anti-anxiety medication, and needs someone who will have the time to help her rehabilitate and get her anxiety under control. She is currently afraid of going on walks in the street or sidewalk, but will run and play in our fenced backyard. She is kennel trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands.
Under guidance from our Vet, with her medication and care Lucy would be a kind and caring addition to your household but we do not currently have the time or ability to care for her the way she deserves.
