Are you looking for a high energy, silly guy to be your shadow? Gerald is your man! He is go-go-go and smooch-smooch-smooch. Loves toys and belly rubs and zoomies with friends. Hard to find his “off” button and could use some work on manners and potty training, but this youthful silly goose on the loose is totally worth it!

Gerald is a 6 year old, recently neutered male shih tzu mix. Whatever his mix is, it made him leggy and he has an adorable underbite that makes his bottom canines pop out. He has a few teeth missing, so his tongue is often sticking out just a bit.

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
